Brief History
During the then South African colonial era this place was used as a military base. It was under this tree that a lot of SWAPO supporters and sympathizers were tortured and killed after they were captured by KOEFOET. Local people were forced to speak out on the whereabouts of their brothers and sisters who joined SWAPO and vanished from the public eye.
